East Price Hill shooting injured an 11-year-old boy Tuesday night, according to multiple police sources.
The boy suffered serious injuries and received emergency medical treatment after the shooting.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the 3700 block of Warsaw Avenue. Cincinnati police and SWAT officers responded to the area as investigators worked to determine what happened.
East Price Hill shooting draws police and SWAT response
Cincinnati police responded to the Warsaw Avenue area after reports of gunfire. Officers established a scene around the reported shooting location while investigators began collecting information.
According to WLWT, SWAT officers surrounded a nearby home during the investigation. Police later determined that the house was unoccupied and began leaving the area.
The police response continued into the night as detectives investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities have not publicly identified a suspect or announced an arrest as of writing.

Boy taken to Cincinnati Children’s after shooting
The injured boy was taken to a hospital following the shooting. Family members at the scene told WLWT that he was taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for surgery.
Police have not released the boy’s medical condition. WLWT described his injuries as serious based on information available Tuesday night.
Cincinnati Children’s provides emergency care around the clock at its Burnet and Liberty campuses. Its Burnet Campus includes the region’s only Level I pediatric trauma center, according to the hospital.
The hospital has not publicly released details about the boy’s treatment.
Witness describes emergency response
A witness described a chaotic scene after the gunfire. Anidra Lindsay told WLWT that she heard a gunshot followed by screaming and children crying.
Lindsay said she drove toward the area and saw people attempting to help the injured boy. She told the station that a Metro bus driver was performing CPR on the child.
Lindsay said she left her vehicle and joined the effort to provide assistance before additional first responders arrived.
Video shared with WLWT by a witness reportedly showed the child receiving CPR at the scene. The footage also appeared to show several other school-aged children nearby.
The presence of children at the scene has not been linked by police to the circumstances of the shooting. Authorities have not said whether any other children suffered injuries.
The witness account provides additional information about the emergency response. However, it does not establish how the shooting occurred or identify who fired the weapon.
