Four people suffered injuries in a shooting in Cincinnati’s North Avondale neighborhood Saturday night.

Cincinnati police said officers responded to a report of gunfire at about 11:43 p.m. Saturday. The incident occurred near Rion Lane, according to information released by police.

The four victims later drove themselves to a hospital for treatment. Police said two of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not publicly released the victims’ names or additional information about their injuries. Their current conditions were not immediately available in the latest reports.

The shooting remains under investigation. Police have not announced an arrest or publicly identified a suspect in connection with the incident.

Police investigate North Avondale shooting

The Enquirer reported that Owens was shot in the 800 block of Glenwood Avenue shortly after midnight March 22. Cincinnati police said firefighters found Owens suffering from a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene. 

North Avondale shooting adds to 2026 gun violence

The latest North Avondale shooting comes after several other shootings across Cincinnati this year.

The March North Avondale case marked the second shooting reported in the neighborhood during 2026 at that time. The Enquirer reported that no one was shot in North Avondale during 2024 or 2025, according to city shooting data. 

Citywide shooting numbers have also received attention following several high-profile incidents in 2026. The Enquirer previously reported that nine people were shot at Riverfront Live earlier this year.

Another shooting injured four people at a Northside club during Valentine’s Day weekend, according to the same report. 

Those incidents demonstrate why police continue to monitor shooting activity across Cincinnati neighborhoods.

However, investigators have not indicated that Saturday night’s North Avondale shooting connects to any other recent incident. There is also no indication that the victims in this case were connected to previous shootings.
