Nichole Carminati

Nichole Carminati is an applied anthropologist and writer based in Cincinnati. A Navy veteran and longtime Florida resident, she brings a unique outsider-turned-local perspective to civic life in the Midwest. After two decades of living intermittently in Florida, she and her family moved to Cincinnati, where she quickly became an active voice in community engagement and neighborhood advocacy. She is the owner of Rey Pickett Consulting and works in the finance industry.

Nichole lives in the city with her husband, Rick, and their two daughters, both of whom attend local colleges. Her academic work includes a completed anthropology thesis published in January of 2026 focusing on the veteran reintegration experience. She is also a guest columnist for The Cincinnati Enquirer and Influential Women magazine and has appeared as a guest speaker on WKRC Local 12 News. Her writing often explores themes of public safety, civic accountability, migration trends, and the lived experiences of everyday residents.

Nichole approaches local issues with independence, clarity, and a willingness to confront uncomfortable realities. She is proud to call Cincinnati home and remains deeply invested in strengthening neighborhoods through open dialogue, empathy, and hands-on community involvement.
