The first U.S. trade fair focused exclusively on grinding technology—GrindingHub Americas—will launch in Cincinnati in 2027.
Additionally, organizers say the event adapts the successful GrindingHub Stuttgart model to the American industrial market.
GrindingHub Americas opens new doors for U.S. manufacturers
Organizers VDW (the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association), Messe Stuttgart and Swissmem joined forces to bring GrindingHub to the Americas.
They acted after international grinding-technology companies asked for a U.S. event dedicated solely to grinding machinery, automation, measurement and process optimization.
Moreover, Messe Stuttgart’s president said the United States remains one of the world’s most vibrant industrial hubs, making it an ideal location for the new fair.
What GrindingHub Americas will showcase
The fair will cover the full spectrum of grinding-technology solutions. Exhibits will include:

Why Cincinnati? Strategic hub for industry
Organizers chose Cincinnati for its strategic position within the Midwest industrial corridor.
Furthermore, they noted the city’s proximity to major aerospace and automotive production sites, including suppliers and facilities linked to GE Aerospace.
As a result, they say the location will help exhibitors reach decision-makers and purchasing teams in aerospace, automotive, medical and mechanical engineering sectors.
Industry backing and board endorsement
In early November 2025, leading companies from the grinding-technology sector met in Cincinnati for the first official board meeting of GrindingHub Americas.
Additionally, participating firms included Action SuperAbrasive, ANCA, Norton Saint-Gobain, Rollomatic, Star SU LLC, Supertec Machinery, United Grinding North America and Vollmer America.
Meanwhile, board chairman Phil Kurtz said the group is committed to providing a platform for manufacturers to present innovations to a specialist audience focused on process optimization.
